This cocktail was created in the late 19th century for a group of influential men who met at the bar of Philadelphia's old Bellevue-Stratford Hotel.

  1. Ice
  2. 2 ounces gin
  3. 1 ounce fresh lemon juice
  4. 3/4 ounce raspberry syrup
  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add all of the remaining ingredients. Shake well and strain into a chilled martini glass.
