Chocolate Fudge Sauce

  • SERVINGS: MAKES 3/4 CUP

Ingredients

  1. 1/2 cup water
  2. 1/4 cup sugar
  3. 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  4. 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  5. 1/2 pound bittersweet or semisweet chocolate, finely chopped
  1. In a saucepan, combine the water with the sugar, cocoa, corn syrup and chopped chocolate. Bring just to a boil over moderate heat, stirring constantly, to melt the chocolate. Strain the fudge sauce into a bowl and serve warm.
Make Ahead
The chocolate sauce can be refrigerated for 2 weeks.
