Chartreuse Swizzle

Marco Dionysos, one of the many talented mixologists at Harry Denton's, entered this drink in a Bay Area cocktail competition—and won.

Plus:

  1. Ice cubes, plus shaved ice
  2. 1 1/4 ounces green Chartreuse
  3. 1/2 ounce Velvet Falernum (clove-spiced liqueur)
  4. 1 ounce pineapple juice
  5. 1/2 ounce fresh lime juice
  6. 1 lime wheel or 1 pineapple spear
  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes. Add the Chartreuse, Velvet Falernum and fruit juices; shake well. Strain into a rocks glass filled with shaved ice. Garnish with the lime wheel.
