Chartreuse Gin Daisy

Mixologist Patricia Richards swaps honey-sweetened yellow Chartreuse (a spicy herbal liqueur) for the usual grenadine in her simple Gin Daisy variation.

  1. 2 1/4 ounces London dry gin
  2. 1/4 ounce yellow Chartreuse
  3. 3/4 ounce fresh lemon juice
  4. 1/4 ounce agave nectar
  5. Dash of orange bitters
  6. Ice
  7. 1 brandied cherry, for garnish
  1. In a cocktail shaker, combine the gin, yellow Chartreuse, lemon juice, agave nectar and orange bitters. Fill the cocktail shaker with ice and shake well. Strain into a chilled martini glass and garnish with the cherry.
