Chantilly Potatoes with a Parmesan Crust

A sure success at my last dinner party!  Next time I will use 3/4 cup of heavy cream instead of the full cup, as they came out just slightly runnier than I would have liked.  Otherwise, a fantastic accompaniment to any dish!
