The Zig Zag Cafe is known for resurrecting obscure classics. This sophisticated sidecar variation was listed in the 1930 Savoy Cocktail Book.

Plus: Ultimate Cocktail Guide

  1. Ice
  2. 1 1/2 ounces Cognac
  3. 1/2 ounce green Chartreuse
  4. 1/4 ounce fresh lemon juice
  5. 1/8 ounce Simple Syrup
  6. 2 dashes of Angostura bitters
  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add all of the remaining ingredients and shake well. Strain into a chilled coupe.
