Zig Zag owners Ben Dougherty and Kacy Fitch and bartender Murray Stenson love obscure and out-of-print bartending books. This drink comes from one of their favorites: Jones's Complete Barguide, published in 1977.

- Ice
- 3 ounces amber rum
- 1/2 ounce maraschino liqueur (bittersweet cherry liqueur)
- 1/2 ounce Cointreau or other triple sec
- 1/2 teaspoon grenadine, preferably Homemade Grenadine
- 1 maraschino cherry
- 1 orange twist
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add all of the remaining ingredients except the cherry and orange twist. Stir and strain into a chilled coupe. Garnish with the cherry and orange twist.
