Brown Sugar Syrup

- 2/3 cup water
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- In a small saucepan, bring water and sugar to a boil; simmer over moderate heat, stirring, until the sugar is dissolved, about 3 minutes. Remove from the heat and let cool completely, then pour into a jar, cover and refrigerate for up to 1 month.
