In his 1934 book What Shall We Drink?, Magnus Bredenbek credits this drink to a Bronx restaurateur named Joseph Sormani.
- Ice
- 2 ounces gin
- 1/2 ounce sweet vermouth
- 1/2 ounce dry vermouth
- 1/2 ounce fresh orange juice
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add all of the remaining ingredients and shake well. Strain into a chilled coupe.
