This drink is a house favorite at the Old Absinthe House, which is located in New Orleans's French Quarter in a building that became a saloon in 1815.

  1. Ice
  2. 2 ounces whole milk
  3. 1 1/2 ounces brandy
  4. 1/2 ounce Simple Syrup
  5. 4 drops of pure vanilla extract
  6. Pinch of freshly grated nutmeg
  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add all of the remaining ingredients except the nutmeg. Shake well and strain into an ice-filled rocks glass. Garnish with the nutmeg.
