Blueberry Cobbler

Bar managers Ryan McGrale and John Gertsen develop seasonal variations on the cobbler, a pre-Prohibition cocktail made with sugar and fresh fruit—blueberries in summer, tart Concord grapes in autumn.

  1. 1/4 cup fresh blueberries
  2. 1 small lime wedge
  3. 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
  4. 1 1/2 ounces gin
  5. Ice
  6. 2 ounces chilled club soda
  1. In a cocktail shaker, muddle 15 of the blueberries with the lime wedge and sugar. Add the gin and ice and shake well. Strain into a highball glass half-filled with ice, top with the club soda and garnish with the remaining blueberries.
