This drink's name is a tribute to the 1922 silent movie Blood and Sand, which stars Rudolph Valentino as a poor young Spaniard who eventually becomes a great matador.

cocktails Glassware Guide

  1. Ice
  2. 1 1/2 ounces blended Scotch
  3. 3/4 ounce cherry liqueur, preferably Heering
  4. 3/4 ounce sweet vermouth
  5. 3/4 ounce fresh orange juice
  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add all of the remaining ingredients and shake well. Strain the drink into a chilled coupe.
