This classic cocktail is fruity and only faintly smoky—an approachable drink for people who aren't sure they like Scotch.

Recipe: Blood & Sand

Ingredients

  1. Ice
  2. 1 ounce blended Scotch
  3. 1 ounce sweet vermouth
  4. 1 ounce cherry liqueur, preferably Cherry Heering
  5. 1 ounce fresh orange juice
  6. 1 orange wheel
  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the Scotch, vermouth, cherry liqueur and orange juice. Shake well and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with the orange wheel.
