- 4 ounces water
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup whole black peppercorns
- In a small saucepan, combine the water with the sugar and whole black peppercorns and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to moderately low and simmer for about 10 minutes. Strain into a jar and let cool. Cover and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
