Black Pepper Syrup

Use this pepper-infused syrup to make a Black & Gold cocktail.

Ingredients

  1. 4 ounces water
  2. 1/2 cup sugar
  3. 1/2 cup whole black peppercorns
  1. In a small saucepan, combine the water with the sugar and whole black peppercorns and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to moderately low and simmer for about 10 minutes. Strain into a jar and let cool. Cover and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
