Black Bean Salad with Scallions

Blogger Phoebe Lapine loves using Cholula for this recipe, but whatever hot sauce you have on hand will work.

  1. Two 15-ounce cans black beans, rinsed and drained
  2. 1/4 cup finely chopped cilantro leaves
  3. 2 scallions, thinly sliced
  4. 2 tablespoons lime juice
  5. 2 tablespoons olive oil
  6. 2 teaspoons hot sauce
  7. 2 teaspoons honey
  8. 1 teaspoon salt
  9. 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  1. In a medium mixing bowl, toss together the beans, cilantro, scallions, lime juice, olive oil, hot sauce, honey, salt and cumin until combined. Taste for seasoning.
  2. Transfer to a platter and serve alongside tacos or simple grilled chicken.
