"L.A. is T-shirt-and-shorts weather nine months of the year," says mixologist John Coltharp, "so you need to know how to make a summer drink that's interesting." This fizzy one features the unlikely combination of Scotch, raspberries and pear eau-de-vie.
- Ice
- 1 1/2 ounces blended Scotch
- 1 ounce pear eau-de-vie
- 1 ounce Simple Syrup
- 3/4 ounce fresh lemon juice
- 5 raspberries
- 2 ounces chilled club soda
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the Scotch, eau-de-vie, Simple Syrup, lemon juice and 4 raspberries; shake well. Strain into an ice-filled collins glass, stir in the club soda and garnish with a raspberry.
