Recipe: Preserved Ginger
- MAKE-AHEAD
SIMPLE SYRUP
- 2/3 cup water
- 2/3 cup sugar
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons finely julienned ginger
- 3 cups cool water
- Bring the water and sugar to a boil in a small saucepan and let cool.
- Place the ginger in another small saucepan with 1 cup of cool water. Bring to a boil and drain. Repeat this process 2 more times. Add the drained ginger to the Simple Syrup and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
