- SERVINGS: Makes 1 drink
Gin and lychee is one of London bartender Wayne Collins's favorite flavor combinations. "In a martini, a punch, a sour or even a sweet, cream-based drink, it just seems to work," he says.
- 1 lime, quartered
- Ice cubes, plus crushed ice
- 2 ounces gin
- 3/4 ounce lychee liqueur
- 3/4 ounce Simple Syrup
- 3/4 ounce chilled ginger ale
- 1 fresh or canned lychee and 1 mint sprig, for garnish
- In a cocktail shaker, muddle the lime. Add ice cubes and the gin, lychee liqueur and Simple Syrup and shake briefly. Strain into a crushed-ice-filled red wine glass and stir in the ginger ale. Garnish with the lychee and mint sprig.
