Arancione Cocktail

  • SERVINGS: makes 1 drink

To transform the Champagne Cocktail into a sweet and intense after-dinner drink, Jamie Boudreau swaps out the sparkling wine for Cocchi Americano, a bittersweet aperitif wine. The ounce of club soda makes the cocktail lightly bubbly; Boudreau likes to make the drink in a soda siphon for extra fizz.

  1. 4 ounces Cocchi Americano
  2. 1/4 ounce Amaro Montenegro (bittersweet herbal liqueur)
  3. 1/4 ounce Ramazzotti (bittersweet herbal liqueur)
  4. Dash of orange bitters
  5. Dash of Angostura bitters
  6. Ice
  7. 1 ounce chilled club soda
  1. Fill a soda siphon (see Note) with all of the ingredients except ice and the club soda. Seal the canister and shake hard. Charge according to the manufacturer’s directions, using a CO² charger. Dispense into a chilled, ice-filled wineglass and top with the club soda.
Notes Soda siphons and CO² chargers can be purchased at kitchenware shops and surlatable.com.
