A newly released pear vodka was bartender David Wilborn's inspiration for this lightly sweet, licorice-accented drink, which he first made in April 2007.

2 1/2 ounces pear vodka
1/2 ounce pastis
1/2 ounce Mandarine Napoléon or Grand Marnier
1 orange twist
How to Make It
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the vodka, pastis and Mandarine Napoléon and shake well. Strain into a chilled martini glass and garnish with the orange twist.
