Here, James Wampler uses Death's Door, a London dry-style gin that he says "creates a wickedly intense cocktail with hints of chocolate." Two kinds of bitters, Angostura and orange, give the drink a wonderful complexity. Use one dash of each, or two if you like your cocktails to have an extra edge.
- In a mixing glass, combine the gin, vermouth, Campari and both bitters; fill with ice and stir well. Strain into a chilled coupe and garnish with the twist.
