"It was a place to get nice suits made," says Stanton Social owner Peter Kane of Manhattan's Lower East Side in the '40s. In keeping with this history, a backlit wall of wine evokes herringbone fabric.

  1. 1/2 ounce Simple Syrup
  2. 2 ounces chilled Champagne
  3. 4 torn mint leaves
  4. Dash of Angostura Bitters
  5. Ice cubes and crushed ice
  6. 1 ounce fino sherry
  7. 1/4 ounce fresh lemon juice
  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes. Add the mint, bitters, sherry, Simple Syrup and lemon juice and shake well. Strain into a flute half-filled with crushed ice and top with the Champagne.
