The fifteenth season of the Emmy and James Beard Award-winning Top Chef brings the new crop of cheftestants to Colorado. Over the course of the season, chefs will travel each culinary pocket of the state to cities like Denver, Boulder, Telluride, and Aspen.

Returning to the judges table for the new season are head judge Tom Colicchio, judge Gail Simmons, and host Padma Lakshmi. Sophomore judge Graham Elliot of Master Chef Junior fame will also rejoin the panel.

The winner will receive $125,000 furnished by San Pellegrino, a feature in Food & Wine magazine, a showcase at the Annual Food & Wine Classic in Aspen and the title of "Top Chef."

In the season premiere Padma, Tom, Gail and Graham head to Denver, Colorado to welcome 15 eager chefs to the intensive cooking competition. The Quickfire Challenge gives the chefs the opportunity to introduce themselves the judges and their fellow competitors through their food as they whip up dishes to make a first impression. Here's a sneak peek at the action in the new season's first round of competition:

In the elimination challenge, chefs are tasked with modernizing a Colorado classic for 200 diners at a block party in Larimer Square. Some chefs make a strong statement right out the gate while others flounder trying to keep up.

This season Top Chef fans can look forward to some familiar faces rotating through the judging panel. Top Chef Masters contestants Bryan Voltaggio and Chris Cosentino and Top Chef Winners Michael Voltaggio and Richard Blais are slated to return alongside renowned molecular gastronomist Wylie Dufresne and Top Chef Junior Host Curtis Stone.

Watch Top Chef Thursday nights at 10 p.m. ET/9 p.m. CT on Bravo.
