Postmates is offering free deliveries, which just might be made by robots.

Top Chef 's Season 15 premiere this week is exciting enough, but if you're planning a feast to celebrate, those plans are about to improve. From December 6 through 8, Postmates will celebrate the season kickoff, which airs Thursday, December 7 at 10 p.m., by offering free delivery on all orders to users of the app nationwide.

The offer will also cover orders placed from Postmates Drinks, and its new grocery service, Postmates Fresh, but perhaps the most thematically relevant part of the promotion will apply only to fans in Los Angeles. There, the delivery fee will also be waived on orders out of the new "Bravo's Top Chef x Postmates" restaurant collection, which features restaurants in the area led by former Top Chef contestants.

The collection includes restaurants like Border Grill (Susan Feniger of Top Chef Masters), Sack Sandwiches (season 6 winner Michael Voltaggio), and Wolf (Season 2 and 8 contestant Marcel Vigernon, who also returned last week on the premiere of this season's Top Chef: Last Chance Kitchen). But equally exciting is the other group involved in the L.A. portion of "Top Chef x Postmates," which is to say, robots.

Yes, for the first time in the city, Postmates will deploy its "robotic rovers," which appear to be small wheeled carts that will make automated deliveries to some customers. And in addition to food, select robot delivery recipients will also be chosen at random to win a free year of Postmates Unlimited, which equals free delivery on orders over $20 (and normally costs $10 a month).

In order to get in on the deal, just download the Postmates app and use the code "TOPCHEF" from Dec 6 through 8. And if you're not lucky enough to get your own robot delivery, fret not, for the hashtag #topchefrobots will be offering live reports on the cybernetic fleet.
