Hanukah Dinner
Of course you have to serve latkes--a delicious holiday tradition--at Hanukah. If you don't want to stand in the kitchen frying potato pancakes while your guests are waiting, you can cook the latkes early in the day and recrisp them in the oven just before serving. Top them with vanilla applesauce for a new variation. The brisket of beef can be prepared ahead and reheated before serving. Accompany the almond and carrot cake with a glass of sweet wine for a perfect finale.
