In Milan's residential Città Studi neighborhood, fashion and furnishings designer Christiane Blanchet has spruced up a 1903 villa with her signature Indochine aesthetic. The four rooms at this affordable gem showcase artisan-crafted Vietnamese furniture and hand-stitched silk quilts; brick walls are set off with dusky ocher or pink plaster and graphic floral wallpaper. The sliver of a restaurant further mines geographical influences with contemporary Southeast Asian cuisine—pho and spring rolls share the menu with tamarind-glazed lamb. The space overlooks a garden and glows with lanterns shaped like flower buds.
