Actress Cynthia Foster and her environmental economist husband, Karel Samson created the hotel and have pledged a percentage of their profits to local charities. The three solar-powered bungalows are just a five-minute walk from the ocean and the boutiques of Abbot Kinney Boulevard. The decor includes standard eco-fare as well as delightful surprises like a repurposed birdcage that found new life as a swivel chair and the hot tub that was created from old-fashioned milk jugs.
