Rifugio Lagazuoi

It's the highest refuge in the area, reachable only on foot or by the Lagazuoi cable car; on its patios you feel as though you're sitting at the edge of the world, and the food is local and wonderful. You can use it as a base for visiting the tunnels and emplacements of World War I, and for skiing in the Cortina and Badia valleys.
