Radisson BLU Style Hotel
Located within walking distance of boutiques and St. Stephan's Cathedral, the Radisson BLU opened in 1960 as the first designer boutique hotel in Vienna's city center. Renowned Danish architect Arne Jacobsen designed the facility, whose lobby contains a dramatic chandelier with droplets resembling crystallized rainfall. Seventy-eight guest rooms of contemporary furnishings and earth-toned fabrics are offset by splashes of color and geometric artwork. Jacobsen's famous chairs are still on site: the Ant, Swan, Egg, and Seven chair designs are also prevalent at various restaurants throughout the city. The hotel's Sapori restaurant serves Italian specialties and Viennese favorites, while H12 Bar & Lounge is a place to unwind with jazz.
