With just five rooms, the Poetry Inn is one of the most tranquil spaces in the buzzing Napa Valley. Owned by the eponymous founder of the Cliff Lede Vineyards, this intimate inn gets everything right. Its hillside perch translates into jaw-dropping views from nearly every room; gigantic private balconies provide the perfect place from which to take it all in. The lobby and guest rooms are warm and modern, with dark woods, clean lines, and wood-burning fireplaces. Spa-style bathrooms, lined in marble and limestone, seem to be double the size of the guest rooms, with heated floors, deep soaking tubs, and both indoor and outdoor showers. Kick off the day with breakfast at a table overlooking the vineyards. If you get chilly, one of the three on-site innkeepers will materialize with a soft woolen throw.
