Deep in the forest nearby the Gulf of Dulce on the southwest Pacific Coast of Costa Rica lies the Playa Nicuesa Rainforest Lodge. Constructed from naturally fallen trees, recycled materials, and powered by the sun, the 165-acre resort houses guests in five private cabins, (one- and two-bedroom) and the four-room Mango Guesthouse. Each contains canopy beds, ceiling fans, private baths, and an open-air garden shower. Three meals a day are included in the package and taken from a tropical menu that includes fresh fruit, fish, and local produce. The resort also has an extensive network of forest trails.
