Owned by Italian clothing company Diesel, the Pelican Hotel is an eclectic property in the midst of Ocean Drive’s bustling nightlife scene. Each of the 32 rooms has its own unique theme, including “Best Whorehouse” (bordello design with red walls and heart-shaped chairs) and “Psychadelic(ate) Girl,” with green furnishings and a yellow and green striped wall. Swedish designer Magnus Ehrland decorated the rooms with items found at flea markets and antique stores. The on-site Pelican Café serves Italian-inspired cuisine, and although the hotel does not have its own pool or fitness center, guests enjoy easy beach access.
