The Palacio Ca Sa Galesa hotel, in the majorcan town of Palma, is steeped in history. The 1576 building’s 12 rooms and suites are furnished with antiques, 17th-century artifacts are scattered throughout the bar, and the spires of a centuries-old cathedral loom above the rooftop terrace. It’s an ideal base from which to explore the city’s surrounding Gothic district—but it's also steps from the Mediterranean, and no one could blame you for choosing to just sunbathe instead.
