Mariposa's owners, Dr. Charles and Johnna Chamberlain, have made their combination working ranch-B&B fit the area. The plantation house, a rambling, gray-clapboard and column affair, circa 1860, was moved onto the property from the oldest neighborhood of nearby downtown Brenham, for authenticity.
