Built in the grand hotel style of the 1930's, the hotel's weathered years of neglect—a symbol of the region's economic highs and lows—but was renovated in 1997. The storied inn, with stained-glass windows and eight Victorian-antiques-filled rooms, has played host to visitors as varied as Amelia Earhart and Maya Angelou.
