Hip hotels are slowly trumping the staid in the ski community of Falls Creek, about four and a half hours by car from Melbourne. Consider Huski, a Cubist riot of timber and glass, to be the edgiest entry. Just below Falls Creek’s highest slope, the resort’s vistas extend to the peak of Mount Spion Kopje. The Produce Store, on the ground floor, serves as both a café and a reception area.
