Grythyttan Inn
Originally established more than three centuries ago, the Grythyttan Inn is located in a small village
approximately three hours northwest of central Stockholm. Restored in the late 1900’s, the inn now comprises 22 individual cottages which once housed various 17th-century businesses, including a bank, grocer, and tailor. Today, the cottages contain 60 guest rooms, each individually decorated with patterned wallpaper, antique furniture, and upholstery from Austrian-born designer Josef Frank. The inn also has a spa, a 7,000-bottle wine cellar, and an acclaimed restaurant serving seasonal Swedish dishes such as baked cod in artichoke cream with white wine sauce.
