<p>If you fused the grandeur of colonial India with the simplicity of an African game lodge, the results would look much like the Eugenia. Animal trophies cover the walls, brass light fixtures are imported from the Subcontinent, and an old-fashioned metal shower sits next to the sleek pool in the hotel's lush backyard. The eclectic mix continues in the 12 rooms, most of which are done up with four-poster beds, antique wooden desks, and framed vintage maps. Forgo rickety tuk-tuks in exchange for a chauffeured spin in one of the hotel's vintage cars: the fleet includes a 1970 Daimler limousine, a 1958 Mercedes Ponton, and a 1965 S-Type Jaguar.</p>
