This beautiful 1913 high-rise building, once home to Atlanta's soigné Winecoff Hotel, has been reinvented as a sleek, clean-lined boutique property. It sat vacant for more than two decades until the Boykins Management Group brought it back to dazzling life in 2007. And today, though the hotel retains its Renaissance palazzo-style façade, the interiors have all been brought completely up to date. The 127 modern, neutral-toned guest rooms, while on the small side, are flooded with light from huge windows, and have flat-screen TV's and cushy beds with pillow-top mattresses and ostrich-leather headboards. Extras include Ermenegildo Zegna bath products, rainfall showerheads, and mini-bars stocked with old-fashioned treats like Sugar Daddies and Pez dispensers. Common areas are similarly styled, with steel-and-leather seating and wall art from local painters. The CNN Center, Centennial Olympic Park, the Georgia Aquarium, and the New World of Coca-Cola are all walking distance from the hotel. <p><strong>Tip:</strong> The 10th floor is reserved exclusively for female guests, and its rooms have extra girly amenities like curling irons and Spanx hosiery.</p> <p><strong>Room to Book:</strong> If you're traveling with the family, ask for two adjoining rooms at the end of a hallway (all rooms ending in 03 and 04), which can be opened up to create two-bedroom suites.</p>
