Cliff House at Pikes Peak
This Rocky Mountain hotel has increased in size and scope since opening in 1873, during the gold rush. Now, 54 rooms include celebrity suites named for past guests like Buffalo Bill, Charles Dickens, and Teddy Roosevelt. The main dining room serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily, and breakfast is complimentary for guests. Chef Scott Savage utilizes local ingredients in dishes like grilled Colorado lamb T-bone with sweet potato Dauphinois and cauliflower gratin, or elk ribeye with roasted garlic and sage rosti potatoes. Additional venues include a more casual gastropub called Red Mountain Bar and Grill, and the warm weather-friendly Veranda.
