<p>Once the vacation home of renowned Indonesian architect and art collector Hendra Hadiprana, this 20-villa property combines the Hadiprana family's personal art and antique collection with a very English feel. The grounds are landscaped with gorgeously manicured gardens and shimmering ponds dotted with migrant Java Pond Herons and resident Black Swans. And surrounding the property are terraced hills of rice paddies, which have been tended by generations of Balinese farmers; watch their daily rituals through the soaring windows of the restaurant (serving local cuisine made with herbs, vegetables, and fruits from the Chedi's own organic gardens).
