Bulgari Hotel, Milano
In Milan, the penultimate manifestation of cool is the Bulgari Hotel. Located in an 18th-century palazzo at the end of a private cul-de-sac, the hotel blends its own 4,000-square-meter back garden into the city’s own botanical gardens beyond. Inside, the 58 rooms and suites portray the ultimate in refinement, with precious materials like black Zimbabwe granite, Burmese teak, dark oak, and Navona travertine. The Bulgari Suite also includes a bathtub carved from a single block of Turkish Bihara stone. The hotel also has a gold mosaic pool and emerald green glass walls in the on-site spa.
