Mollymook, Australia

The hotel is propped on a Pacific Coast headland, in a town that attracts both surfers and migrating whales. During the past four years the property has been updated from its origins as a 1970's motel. The 31 rooms are done up in white rattan furnishings; balconies overlook eucalyptus trees and the ocean. Swim in the saltwater infinity pool then dine on yellowfin with papaya slaw in the hotel restaurant. Just a five-minute stroll down the hill is the white crescent of Mollymook Beach.
