<p>Privacy is the reason to reserve one of this Aman's 35 thatched-roof suites, set behind bougainvillea-covered sandstone walls. Though the villas themselves have slightly outdated décor, they still feature gorgeous teak four-poster beds, round tables for private dining, sunken indoor bathtubs, outdoor showers, and private courtyards. The resort's greatest asset is the beach club, which has a beachside café, complimentary use of snorkel gear and boogie boards, a phalanx of attentive valets, and 10 <em>bales</em> (bamboo pavilions) set on one of the island's most beautiful stretches of beach. </p> <p><strong>Tip:</strong> Head to the beach club early to stake out your spot—the <em>bales</em> get snapped up quickly.
