One year on, the roar has still not dimmed to a buzz at chef/owner Michelle Bernstein’s tiny, noisy hot spot on this up-and-coming stretch of Miami’s Upper East Side. It’s no wonder, when both chef and her front-of-house husband, David Martinez, are so devoted to their cli-ents, and the small-plate menu is so packed with fun and interest. The wine list is equally rich and compact, including some obscure, young wines (a 2004 Albert Boxler Chasselas from Alsace) and several sherries.
We Loved
Serrano ham croquetas on fig jam; Peruvian-style seviche of white bass, shrimp and scallops; truffled polenta with a poached egg and specks of smoked bacon.
