Los Angeles has no shortage of sushi restaurants. Still, everyone took notice when popular sushi chef Katsuya Uechi opened this Philippe Starck–designed Brentwood spot last summer, with a humongous picture of a geisha’s eyes hung over the perennially packed sushi bar. Along with the pristine raw fish, there are excellent dishes from the incendiary robata grill.
