Early this year, an industrial strip of Milwaukee Avenue became Chicago’s hip wine world epicenter. Rodney Alex’s wine bar and shop features a 275-bottle wine wall and white resin tabletops (an ideal background for checking your wine’s color). Bottles at the wine bar are marked up only $15 above retail. The menu offers superior salumi and cheeses; upstairs has a DJ.
