The beautiful 19th-century mansion of the Berninzon family in Barranco, the Hamptons of Lima, was expensively, tastefully restored last year. Though the restaurant is named after Ar-gentine co-owner Maximiliano Lemos, it is chef José Cabero who really sets the tone with his hearty Med-Latino dishes. The well-stocked cellar of sommelier Giovanni Bisso is also a draw.
