Of all the French bistros in fashionable neighborhoods that have opened recently, this spot consistently serves the best food. Indeed, it’s so reliable that owners of other restaurants eat here, not least for the city’s best french fries. With tightly packed tables, wood and polished-brass details and walls adorned with changing photo exhibits, it has an intimate feel—a little too much so on weekends, when it’s packed solid.
