The reopening of Scott’s, the classic seafood restaurant and oyster bar (from the group that owns The Ivy and Le Caprice), has brought fresh energy to starchy Mayfair. The place is urbane and glamorous, from its oak paneling and chandeliers to its gentlemanly service. The cooking, done with prime ingredients, references old-fashioned English dishes. Where else in London can you find cod tongues? We loved: pan-fried skate with periwinkles, nut–brown butter and capers.
